Lolli’s Friday Feast — Week Two

Creamy Chowder with Botanik Pink Gin & Pear Warmer

Week Two is all about winter comfort — the kind that feels slow, warm, and deeply satisfying. A creamy chowder anchors the meal with richness and depth, the Herb & Garlic Bread adds crisp edges and savoury lift, and the Botanik Pink Gin & Pear Warmer brings a soft, aromatic finish that ties everything together. Each element is simple, cosy, and built to complement the others, creating a complete Friday Feast that feels both indulgent and effortless.

Recipe Card

🍲 Creamy Chowder

A rich, buttery chowder that delivers warmth in every spoonful — hearty, savoury, and perfect for pairing with crisp garlic bread.

🥖 Herb & Garlic Bread

Crisp edges, soft centre, and a savoury herb lift from our Herb & Garlic Dip Mix.

Ingredients

  • 1 full baguette
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ½ tbsp Lolli’s Herb & Garlic Dip Mix

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. Mix softened butter with Herb & Garlic Dip Mix until fully combined.

  3. Slice baguette lengthwise.

  4. Spread the herbgarlic butter evenly across both cut sides.

  5. Wrap the entire baguette in aluminium foil — this melts the butter evenly and keeps the inside soft.

  6. Bake for 10 minutes wrapped.

  7. Open the foil, expose the top, and bake 5–7 minutes uncovered until golden and crisp.

  8. Slice and serve warm alongside chowder.

🍐 Botanik Pink Gin & Pear Warmer

A warm, gentle cocktail that complements creamy chowder without overpowering it.

Ingredients

  • 30–45 ml Botanik Pink Gin
This gives you flexibility depending on whether you want:

- A lighter pairing (30 ml) softer, gentler, more foodfriendly
- A richer winter drink (45 ml) warmer, fuller, more aromatic

  • 120–150 ml pear juice
  • Tiny pinch cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)

Method

Warm pear juice gently (do not boil). Add Botanik Pink Gin to a heatsafe mug. Pour in the warm pear juice. Finish with a micropinch of spice.
Why it pairs perfectly with chowder
  • Pear is soft, round, and lowacid — ideal with cream.
  • Strawberry notes in the Pink Gin become warm and aromatic.
  • No citrus → no dairy clash.
  • Warmth matches the winter profile of chowder.

A cosy winter trio:

Creamy chowder, foilwrapped then crisped herbgarlic baguette made with ½ tbsp Dip Mix to ½ cup butter, and a warm Botanik Pink Gin & Pear Warmer featuring a clear 30–45 ml gin range your customers appreciate. Simple, comforting, and perfectly balanced.
